My name is Andromachi Vougiouka, and I am a Conservator of Art as well as a glass painter. I live and work in Lesvos, a place that inspires creativity.

Since childhood, I have loved colors and painting, so it was only natural for me to follow this path. My interest in glass painting arose from the fascination this material holds for me. By creating compositions of glass objects and colors, I have built a glass world filled with dreams, designs, and concerns.

For me, painting has always been a form of expression. Brushes are an extension of my hand, and colors are the tools of my emotions. I paint on glasses of all sizes and shapes, both modern and classic, as well as on bottles. Each piece is intended to hold wine, water, cocktails, or juice, and all are made with enamel that requires only a little care and attention.

These colors allow me to revive old glass and crystal items, creating unique pieces that blend the old with the new. Meanwhile, during the three beautiful seasons of the year, I design glass balls for Christmas, candles for Easter, and straw hats for summer.

My world is filled with love, as it contains pieces of my soul. Every item is unique and handmade, without the typical stamps of mass production.

For me, art is essential. It helps us escape and keeps us in touch with the essence of our existence. According to the standards of a rational society, Van Gogh might have been considered "useless" for his sensitivity. Without art to challenge social norms, we would soon lose our souls and our interest in life.
